When I was a kid, I was nervous to even make a simple light bulb circuit. I felt I was a software person rather than hardware. Ideas rather than implementation. Fortunately, after much pushing of myself, I gradually got familiar with the Arduino and what it could connect to, and I'm glad I did.
One big thing I did to share on my knowledge was a series of Tutorials on the Arduino using the Arduino Starter Kit as a base. The tutorial series can be found here.
