Geable (comic)
Geable was Andrusi's first sprite comic and the first of the Geable Series, named (naturally) after geable. It debuted at The Moogle Cavern ezBoard on what appears to have been September 21, 2001.
Like most MC comics from that time period, Geable focused mainly on the self-representations of MCers, having bizarre adventures in which they acted only vaguely like their real selves. Initially Andrusi used everyone's own sprites, which were made using a variety of bases (some of them scratch-drawn), but in #63 he introduced a unified style based on Sonic Pocket Adventure and the early Mega Man games. The comic also introduced Elecsonic and Mecha Shadow.
Andrusi attempted to time an event in Geable with the move to MoogleMB. When the move didn't happen as planned, Andrusi delayed continuing the comic until it was appropriate. This resulted in the comic losing steam and ultimately dying out. The whole of the comic was eventually hosted at the Comic and Hoax Archive, until the archive's 2007 shutdown. The main ideas behind the comic--the only occasional use of continuity, the use of random MCers as mostly interchangeable extras, and the recurring Mecha Shadow and Elecsonic strips--would later be revisited in Geable Geable Goo.
