Series Overview[edit]

Cowboy Bebop is an anime series made in 1998 by Shinchiro Watanabe.

It takes place in the future, where a band of bounty hunters travel the stars catching Bounty Heads for a quick
buck, mostly with food on their minds more than anything else. The star of the series is Spike Spiegel, a carefree,
curly-haired bounty hunter who smokes, kicks ass and takes names. Jet Black is his partner and the voice of reason
on the show. An ex-cop who lost his arm and now has a robotic one. (but it can't shoot lasers or anything so its
completely useless) Faye Valentine is the T&A of the series, who does nothing but bitch and complain, gamble, and steal
food from everybody else while trying to find her memories. Lastly, there's Ed, the kawaii hacker girl.
Oh yeah, and there's a guy with boobies in one of the episodes. lolwtf.

The show lasted for 26 episodes and reruns at 3AM weekends on Adult Swim.

Movies[edit]

The series had a movie released in limited release in 2003, where the crew of the Bebop went after their biggest
bounty, an emo-terrorist named Vincent. It was ok.

In 2008, it was announced that a live-action Bebop film would be in the works. (yay!) but, Keanu Reeves would be
playing Spike, which prompted Myst to go into a Christian Bale-like rage. The film will adapt the first episode of
the series. The drug called 'bloody eye' in the first episode is changed to 'Bebop' in the film, showing that the creators
know nothing of the series and why the series is called Cowboy Bebop. (Oh, I don't know, maybe the giant word "BEBOP"
painted on their ship has something to do with the title?) Spike will probably bang Faye and-- I dont even want to think about
it, i'm just going to watch my Bebop DVDs and pretend this travesty will never happen.
