Comics were a major part of the community. They originated early on; while Kulock was certainly adept at making comics and one offs at whatever he felt like, certain MC members started making their own comics that were based around the MC and the events and people within it. Many of the comics were pretty funny, and often referenced MC injokes making them best viewed by people inside the community. In turn, many of the comics created injokes, and often something first started in a comic would get bounced around the message board, or continually referenced on one of the other comics, or both. Because the comic creators were so well connected to eachother, it was relaitvely easy for something started in one comic to make the jump and be referenced in all the others. [Drak]]'s i am sad is a good example of this, as is the Purple Fog.

Examles of MC comics include The Horror by H Hog, The Geable Series by Andrusi, Blasphemy by Gold Sonic, MC Dash and The Moment by Kulock, A Form of Cheese by Sz and Moogle by Leo. There have also been a spate of comics by Drak going by different names (such as i suck at golf). Manga-Gaga by GagaMan deserves mention as while it wasn't developed within the MC or is about the MC, it does reference a fair few MCers and injokes, and besides, Gaga's nice.

Due to having no real, reliable website for comic upload at the time, most MC comics had to be uploaded to the creators own webspace and linked to on the Message Board. Despite this, they still thrived early on although with time (moves to new message boards), they became hard to keep track of or read when desired. When Kulock set up the Comic and Hoax Archive, many of the old comics had a new lease of life, at the very least being uploaded and archived, but also inspiring new interested and leading to some of the comics being continued while new comics were created by others (in a similar way to the Hoaxes).
When the archive was closed, things went back to how they were before.
Currently, The Horror is one of the few MC comics likely to be updated in the future, with H Hog posting the new comics to the Artwork forum on Sonic Eats Rings, and attaching the comics to the posts he makes.
