Sonic the Hedgehog (Or Sonic "SatAM" as it is refered to by its fans) was a saturday morning
cartoon that aired in the fall of 1993, two months after it's sydnicated counterpart,
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Unlike Adventures Sonic SatAM relied less on comical
Looney-Tunes-ish humor and more on telling a serious story. In the series, Dr Robotnik has conquered
the world, except for one small village called Knothole, where Sonic and his friends, Miles "Tails" Prower,
Princess Sally, Rotor the Walrus, Antoine D'colette, Bunnie Rabbot and Dulcy the Dragon form a group of rebels
calling themselves the "Freedom Fighters" Every episode usually involved the group sneaking into Robotnik's lair
and trying to shut down some new machine of his that threatens their home, or rescue another animal from
his clutches. The furfaggotry on this show was off the charts. The series was cancelled a year later, due
to the success of FOX's Power Rangers. To this day, people online still want and have petitions (lol) for a 3rd season.
not gonna fucking happen.

The Archie Sonic Comics followed the storyline of the series and is still in publication to this day.
