SEGA's last, and considered by many to be their best, console. Released in the US on September 9th, 1999.
SEGA built a giant campaign to promote the console's release, with ads all over television and magazines with
their slogan "It's Thinking" the Dreamcast's library consisted of many AAA titles such as the Sonic Adventure
series, Soul Calibur, DOA2, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, the Crazy Taxi series, the Power Stone series, Shenmue, and
lots of online games, such as Chu Chu Rocket! and the SEGA Sports series. However, with the enormous success of Sony's
Playstation, hype was big for the upcoming release of the Playstation 2. Once the Playstation 2 was released, SEGA couldn't
compete and months later announced they were going to be a third-party company, and thus, the Dream was dead.
