an irreverent collection of internet hilarity!
Add GEABLE to the GEABLE!
Hello, and welcome to the Sonic Eats Rings Museum! Now, I know what you may be thinking. Why in the world does SER need a virtual museum? What has it done to warrant such a force of collection? Well, even when the doors opened to this hodgepodge group of contextual text, we felt the stirrings of nostalgia creeping up upon us. And as nostalgia comes in waves, it has once again come knocking at our doors. SER, after all, has its roots in the wild west days of the Sonic Internet community, most specifically the website The Moogle Cavern. In one form or another, this small corner of the web has existed for over twenty years. Though some have come and gone, the community endures. Which is pretty crazy, all things considered. I mean, if we were all awkward teenagers when we met, who would have guessed we'd dare acknowledge each other at this point?
There's no need for me to get into the details of what a wiki is, since anyone who is looking through this is surely familiar with Wikipedia, but the ability to edit information at the touch of a button makes it a place to reflect on the past, understand the present, and look towards the future. On the surface, it may have seemed The Moogle Cavern was always about the irrelevant injokes of the past. But really? It was about the people who called it home, made it special. A place where we learned who we could be, and grew as individuals. An outsider might look at this and go "um...what?" And that's perfectly ok. This wiki, and the archives connected to this place, exist for those who were there. Who might want to reminisce on something silly they said as a child, to playfully groan at a far more innocent time.
If you feel the urge, go ahead and edit the pages. That is, if you have an account here. Edit to reflect the echoes of a dial-up modem, of forum software no one had full control over, of that one time the owner of EZboard got really mad at a very long topic. The MC, and its successor SER, are but one slice of the Internet, a reflection of all that makes it wonderful. A capsuel of the good and the bad. Of love, of loss, and a bit of drama. But hey, you know what? That might not be such a bad thing, after all.
Picture of the Moment
Violence in video games is an all-inclusive threat to everyone regardless of race, creed, gender identity, sexual orientation, or whether they enjoyed Sonic Forces, unlike some other pictures of the day.
